Religious Freedom

As someone who lives in the United States, I believe that The First Amendment of the Constitution is very important. As it says ” Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances “. Without it, how would we be able to practice whatever religion freely? If we didn’t have it, it would be a big problem. People would be forcing others to follow their beliefs (even though there are people who force their religions on others, which is sickening). Those who force their religion don’t care and they will violate the 1st Amendment.

Some people believe that others should follow their religion so they can be “saved”. Which really does sound ridiculous and stupid. A lot of them believe that we need to be saved from the “devil” as they call him. But they do not understand no one needs to be saved by him because he is not their enemy. There is no way to convince them of that.

The way I feel about others practicing their religion, they have that right to practice whatever religion they want freely, but the one thing I would not want to see is others forcing their religion on others. Unfortunately, their is really nothing I can do.
